The General Assembly is the highest organ and decision making entity of the chamber. The 48 elected members hold honorary posts, two thirds represent the employers and one third the employees, representing the different crafts professions. The representatives are elected for a period of five years.

The General Assembly elects the President and the other council members, the vocational training committee and other committees as well as the management. It passes the budget and the membership fees, deliberates on principal policies on chambers, vocational training and SME promotion, and it passes training examination regulations.
